Research and Analysis
EXCEED uses research and analytical methods to evaluate program performance and support strategic planning. Our research determines not only what occurred, but the impact and/or value of what occurred. Often, we incorporate assessments of relevant legal, legislative, political, administrative, and technical policies into our research.
Capabilities
Quantitative and Qualitative Analysis
Presentation of results
The hallmark of EXCEED writing is the clear, succinct presentation of information. While the federal government is our primary client, not all end products are so-directed. Rather, some are tailored to academic or lay audiences. We are equally adept reaching all audiences, often translating complex concepts to simple terms. Working in harmony with our graphic arts department, EXCEED researchers prepare polished reports, brochures, and journal articles. We use state-of-the-art software to create sophisticated end products. We present our results using traditional reports, as well as the Internet, CD-ROM, and multimedia web casts.
Software design in support of research or program goals
Wherever possible, our research team utilizes existing software for data collection and analysis. When adequate software is not available, EXCEED staff crafts appropriate solutions, and develop our own software. Most EXCEED projects have strict security requirements, including ensuring respondent confidentiality or anonymity, limited access to data, security for data transfer over the Internet, and/or physically securing of hard copy data storage.
